Was as involved by ‘Incendiary’ and ‘The Other Hand’. Once again an outstanding book – Gold – it has you there in the velodrome with all the excitement that it brings.Then the sadness of dealing with a child with leukaemia. It is heart wrenching to see how they all suffer but boyed up with the thought of hard work and gold medals – its all so poiniant to life – the ups and downs that we all deal with. Wonderfully written and I really enjoyed reading it.
I read The Other Hand and I enjoyed that too. You have a wonderful way of making us all think about life and how the actions to one situation cause a ripple effect to the results.
I have read both these books for a book group I belong to and we will be discussing Gold in a couple of weeks time!
